Please note: all models SHIPPED after April 1, 2001 from Great Planes do not fall under the recall described below. Please contact the place of purchase to confirm the date they received the plane from Great Planes.

Dear Valued Great Planes Customer,

Thank you for your business and confidence in Great Planes products. Your business, and your satisfaction with your Great Planes purchases, are of paramount importance to us. We have discovered a manufacturing difficulty with the wings of the Big Stik 60 with MonoKote, GPMA1226. As a result we are recalling the wings of these aircraft. Please DO NOT fly the model.

Whether you choose the first option — replacing the Big Stik 60 with a different model — or the second — waiting for the new wings — please note that we are happy to provide you a small token of our appreciation for your business and patience. Please be sure to follow the instructions below.

PLEASE REPLACE MY BIG STIK WITH A DIFFERENT AIRCRAFT.

___ If the model is completely unassembled, please contact where you bought it immediately regarding returning the aircraft. They will be able to work with you to exchange it for another Great Planes aircraft of similar price, or backorder a replacement aircraft for you as soon as we have replacement models available (approximately 6-8 weeks.) (Then please fax or mail this form to us with a copy of the register receipt, or cover of the manual, to receive your free courtesy item.)

If you have a partially assembled model, please take the model to the hobby shop where you purchased it*, and they will exchange it for you with a Great Planes aircraft of similar value and process the exchange through their Customer Service representative. (Then please fax or mail this form to us with a copy of the register receipt, or cover of the manual, to receive your free courtesy item.)

*If you desire a different aircraft but purchased your model via mail order or internet, or cannot reach your dealer, please cut the left wing tip and last wing bay off your model and dispose of the rest of the aircraft. Then please fax us a copy of this form with all information below filled out and this box checked. We will send a call tag to pick up your wing tip at our expense. Please let us know your desired replacement aircraft of similar pricing and we will ship it to you promptly. If you wish to choose an aircraft which is more expensive, please include method of payment (MasterCard or Visa card # and expiration date.)

60 Engine Mount:

The mounting holes are in the wrong location for the .60-1.20 size engine mount. By following the simple steps provided in the PDF file below, you will be able to mount any .60 sized enging to the firewall.
