Fokker
Convert to Electric

The Red Baron strikes back!

You see very few WWI planes on the flight line, and even fewer ARF versions. No wonder, then, that when you arrive with the Great Planes Fokker Dr. 1, everyone will want a look...and a chance to take it up! Though remarkably scale, it assembles in as little as 15 hours—offering excellent flight characteristics suitable for anyone who's mastered low-wing craft. “Chocks away,” point into the wind...and pilot a piece of history!

  • Lightweight, all-wood airframe arrives covered in a historically accurate MonoKote® trim scheme, with fiberglass cowl painted to match.

  • “Round-the-corner” ailerons duplicate the design commonly used in early aviation—two aileron servos (one in each half of the top wing) provide strong, fast response.

  • Triangular, fuse-level stabilizer, distinctive round fin and wooden tail skid add more nostalgic scale detail.

  • Heavy-duty wire landing gear attaches to a historically accurate landing gear airfoil and scale wheels.

Parts Layout
For fast, easy assembly, the fuselage and all three 1-piece wings come already built and covered in genuine Top Flite MonoKote. The generous supply of Great Planes brand hardware includes wheels, scale landing gear, formed aluminum cabanes and much more.
Fiberglass Cowl
The white fiberglass cowl offers a stark contrast to the rich, red MonoKote covering, spotlighting the replica rotary engine and machine guns. The cowl will enclose any engine in the recommended range.
Flying Shot
With its extremely light airframe, the Fokker Dr. 1 requires less engine power for successful surfaced runway or grass field takeoffs. Lift from the three flat-bottom airfoils increases stability and allows realistic, slow landing speeds.
