P-40 WARHAWK

In early 1942, the American Volunteer Group's success over China did wonders for U.S. morale following Pearl Harbor. The Flying Tigers and their shark-mouthed P-40 warhawks destroyed nearly 300 enemy aircraft while losing only 21 of their own. This sport-scale P-40 ARF does the WWII legend proud – with a high-quality design and the versatility to please every low-wing pilot.

Great Planes includes a fiberglass cowl and lightweight, balsa/ply main structures covered in an attractive Flying Tigers trim scheme.

The camouflage color scheme is topped off with such instantly identifiable details as this "Flying Tigers" insignia – lending just enough realism to turn each flight into a WWII adventure.

You can assemble this model for belly landings or with the fixed wire landing gear provided.

Warbird models of this size are typically foam or plastic, but the P-40 Warhawk is all-wood. Its construction quality and performance are superb – equal to any sport-scale model in the popular Great Planes lineup!

The P-40 Warhawk comes covered in a trim scheme that captures the camouflage colors of the WWII Allied fighter. Decals shown are included and die-cut for easy application.

For an outstanding brushless electric power system, outfit the P-40 with a 1450kV outrunner brushless motor, 45A ESC, and 3200mAh LiPo battery. Laser-cut parts for installing a complete brushless electric power system are supplied. Accessing electronics for maintenance is as simple as removing the wing.

If you prefer to fly using glow power – as required for AMA-sanctioned combat contests – Great Planes provides the mounting materials needed to install a 2-stroke .25 cu in (4 cc) engine. Enjoy thrilling sport action or cut your combat competition's ribbon to shreds!
