With nearly two decades of full-scale airshow piloting experience, Matt Chapman knows how to thrill a crowd. He’s had strong showings at many prestigious contests, including the 1998 World Aerobatic Championships at Trencin, Slovakia — where he was the highest-placing American pilot, winning both a bronze medal and the coveted Hillard Trophy. The CAP 580 Matt flies spans 24 feet, weighs 1300 pounds, reaches 240 mph top speed and has a blisteringly fast roll rate of 400 degrees per second.

"I’m really thrilled with how accurately Great Planes reproduced the trim scheme of my CAP 580 on their models. As an R/C pilot and IMAC competitor myself, I enjoy flying them almost as much as the full-size aircraft!"
